Carphone slip leaks Google phone details

Carphone Warehouse has accidentally leaked details regarding the new Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

Google was poised to launch its new device tomorrow (Tuesday 4th October), however the retailer accidentally published slides showing images of the new phone and its specifications.

The leak revealed that the new phone will come in two versions a 5-inch standard and a 5.5-inch larger handset. The phones both have Snapdragon 821 processors and 4GB RAM. The two Pixel devices are available in black and white and come with a choice of 32GB and 128GB storage. The handset also claims to have 7 hours of battery life from 15 minutes’ worth of charging.

Google seems to be pushing a number of services on its new devices. The Pixel includes free photo storage on Google Photos, Duo video chat and Allo messaging apps.

Carphone Warehouse declined the opportunity to comment.
